Scenarios from 60 Msc. Students!
Posted on March 19, 2012 by JP Fendrich
We recently finished a cooperation with Chalmers, a technical university in Göteborg.
We produced 10 different subjects that is of interest for Volvo. They had 10 groups with about 6 students in each group. The task was to present 4 future scenarios for each of the subjects with the use of scenario analysis. The time frame was set to 5-10 years. Some examples of the subjects are “Human Computer Interfaces”, ”Megacities”, “Driverless Vehicles” and “3D Print”.
Martin Börjesson from futuramb first had a lecture about how to create these future scenarios. The students had 2 weeks to work with the scenarios.
The result was over my expectations and can be seen here, if you are behind the Volvo Firewall.
It is always refreshing to get a second opinion about the subjects that we are studying. I think this is a good example of a win win cooperation between university and industry.
